Nina Macdonald

Nina founded Pixelloom in 1999 with several partners. She is

  • WordPress Competent
  • a SQL/MySQL Database Programmer
  • a UNIX® System Programmer
  • a PHP Programmer
  • a Grammar and Punctuation Expert
  • a Technical Editor

She received a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Michigan. She has designed web sites in the Irvine area since 1996.

For fifteen years before that, she was a Member of the Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs (now Nokia Bell Labs) where she designed user interfaces used in the dissemination of current scientific information.

Also while at Bell Labs, she helped invent the UNIX® Writer’s Workbench™ programs, the first programs designed to give writers feedback about their writing style.
